Ścieżka pod Reglami Trail

A trail leading through a montane forest, connecting most of the valleys in the Western Tatras. Despite its forest character, there are viewpoints on the trail. Due to the long distance (approx. 16 km), it is not often traversed in its entirety - it is more often used as a passage between valleys , therefore it is suitable for people looking for peace on the Tatra trails. Trail color: blue - black Walking time: 6 h 20 min (one way) Highest point: Pass in Grzybowiec 1,311 m above sea level. We start the trip in Kuźnice, where we follow the rocky road south, following the blue signs. On the way we pass the gate of the Albertine convent. After about 35 minutes, we reach the scenic Kalatówki Glade, where crocuses bloom in early spring. There is a building of the PTTK mountain hotel in Kalatówki. At this point, we abandon the blue trail and join the black one, which we will follow until the very end of the trip. The first stage of the trip lasts 1 hour 40 minutes. A forest path, sometimes steep, leads us over several wooden footbridges, near interesting rocky hills, to Polana Biały, which is the upper part of the Biały Valley. Then, we also climb steeply to Czerwona Przełęcz, from which we can additionally climb to the scenic peak of Sarnia Skała with a beautiful view of Giewont (the ascent and descent from the peak takes 20 minutes, so it is worth enriching the route with this mountain). From Czerwona Przełęcz we go down to Polana Strążyska, where there is a small, seasonal buffet - a tea room and benches for resting. Giewont is also clearly visible from the clearing. From Polana Strążyska we continue following the black signs. The next section takes 1 hour 25 minutes and is the steepest on the entire route. We reach the Pass in Grzybowiec, which is also the highest point of the trip (unless we decide to climb Sarnia Skała). From the Pass in Grzybowiec we continue following the black signs, this time down a comfortable path. Soon we reach the beautiful Wielka Polana Małołącka, from which there is a view of Giewont and Wielka Turnia. The next stage takes 50 minutes and leads through the forest towards the next viewpoint, Przysłop Miętusi. On the way we pass an abandoned forester's lodge. Przysłop Miętusi offers interesting views of Czerwone Wierchy and Giewont. There are also benches where you can rest before continuing your journey. Then the trail leads us comfortably through the forest to Wyżnia Kira Miętusia in the Kościeliska Valley. In the valley, we first head towards the Ornak shelter, and at the Bandit Chapel we turn again following the black signs from the main road. The last stage of the hike, which is just starting, is the least interesting and lasts 1 hour 50 minutes. We go through the forest to Niżnia Kominiarska Polana, which is located in the Lejowa Valley. From here, along a route with several nice places, we go down to Polana Huciska located in the Chochołowska Valley. Returning along the same route takes about 20 minutes longer because most of the sections lead uphill.
