Suche Czuby Trail

One of the most beautiful routes in the entire Western Tatras, thanks to the wonderful panoramas as well as the nature of the trail itself, which is undulating, largely rocky and leads in places over an exposed slope. The route is less frequented than the neighboring massif of Czerwone Wierchy, which can be shortened by using return from the PKL Kasprowy Wierch chairlift. Trail color: blue – green – red – green Walking time: 6 h 40 min (entire loop) Highest point: Kasprowy Wierch 1987 m above sea level We start the trip in Kuźnice, where we follow the rocky road south, following the blue signs. On the way we pass the gate of the Albertine convent. After about 35 minutes, we reach the scenic Kalatówki Glade, where crocuses bloom in early spring. There is a building of the PTTK mountain hotel in Kalatówki. Then the path enters the forest and for another 35 minutes we walk along the forest track, reaching the vast Hala Kondratowa, where there is a mountain shelter. From this point, we change the color of the trail to green and hike in wide bends (1 h 15 min) to Przełęcz Pod Kopą Kondracka, where it is worth resting before continuing the hike. At the pass, we follow the red signs towards the east. The further route leads through an extremely picturesque and interesting area, sometimes along a ridge, sometimes traversing a steep and sometimes exposed slope. In some places it is helpful to use your hands, because there are easy rock formations to overcome, which makes the trip even more interesting. During 1 hour 55 minutes we pass smaller and larger hills and peaks along the way, including: Suchy Wierch Kondracki, Suche Czuby and Goryczkowa Czuba, finally reaching the top of one of the most visited peaks of the Polish Tatra Mountains, Kasprowy Wierch, which is also the highest point of the entire trip. Kasprowy Wierch is undoubtedly a beautiful scenic spot - from here you can see a significant part of the High Tatras, as well as the Western Tatras. At the top, in addition to the cable car station, there is also a meteorological observatory. From the peak, the fastest way to descend to Kuźnice is to follow the green trail through Myślenickie Turnie, where the intermediate station of the PKL Kasprowy Wierch cable car is located. Approximately up to this point, the descent trail offers views of the surrounding peaks and Podhale, then turns into a forest track. The descent time to Kuźnice is 2 hours 20 minutes. For those who want to shorten the trip, it is possible to use the cable car.
